The process involved in transferring notes from an iPhone to an Android device is a bit cumbersome and may require you to be patient at all times. So follow the following two steps to transfer your notes from an iPhone to an Android.

1. Transfer Notes by Installing Google Keep App on iPhone

The first thing you need to do is download and install Google Keep app on your iPhone and link it with your Google account. Once done, you need to go into the Notes app on your iPhone, open the note that you want to share, and tap the Share icon on the top right corner. After which, you will get various app suggestions in the share menu. Scroll and choose Google Keep from the list. Up next, hit the Post icon on the top right corner. And that’s it. You should now be able to find the note that you just shared appear in your Google Keep app.

You can repeat the same step with each note that you want to share. The process is a bit tedious but gets the work done. In case you don’t find the Google keep share option, you need to scroll horizontally till the end and hit the More button. From here, you need to toggle on the button for Google Keep. Following which, you would see it getting recommend in the share menu from next time. Further, if you want, you can use the Google Keep app on your iPhone or install the app on your Android device and find all your transferred notes there.

2. Transfer Notes using Gmail account

If you are someone who has hundreds of notes in the Notes app on your iPhone, this method can make the entire process of transferring the notes easy. For this, you need to go into Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Add Account. From the various account options, select Google and fill in your login credentials. Once logged in, you need to toggle on the button next to the Notes option. Just like the notes present on your iPhone’s Note app are synced with your iCloud account, by enabling the sync on your Gmail account, all those notes also get synced with your Google Account. So, the next thing that you need to do is download and install the Gmail app on your iPhone and sign in with the same account you used earlier. Once done, you need to open the app and slide from the left to see different options. From this list, tap on the Notes label, and here you should find all your transferred notes.

Additionally, you can also change the default storage settings for your notes from iCloud to your Google account. For this, you need to go into Settings > Notes > Default Account. Here, choose Gmail to change the default location for storing notes. The ways mentioned above, work perfectly well in most of the situations and are suitable for transferring notes without having to install any third-party software or service.
