Today, the company has launched the Honor 5C in India priced at Rs 10,999 (~$160), and the phone is here to impress. We have been using the phone for a while now, and simply put, it’s impressive. The Honor Holly 3 sports a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) display upfront and 3D textured back to the rear. This increase of 5% in custom duty will particularly hurt the companies who haven’t started manufacturing smartphones in India. Back in 2010, I had the misfortune of using the Dell Streak, a smartphone with a huge screen size of 5 inches. Bear in mind that times were different back then — most phone screens measured anywhere between 3 to 4 inches. It’s been about two years since Microsoft ditched its legendary Internet Explorer in favor of a more modern and proficient browser, Edge. And throughout this lengthy skirmish, Microsoft annexed a series of features in order to compete with market leaders such as Chrome, Firefox and Opera. You get an image with washed out color because of too much light or the light seems to cover too much of the image, blurring out everything else in what seems like an explosion of light. A lot of people use a lens hood on cameras to dodge lens flare. And as per most photographers, lens flare is something that one should try to avoid, as it interferes with the image quality, blurring it....

Now, I don’t know what you’re thinking, but this is the perfect idea of a gift to give someone who spends too much time with their smartphones....

And then it returned in the latter half of 2017, in an avatar that seemed to hark back to its roots. Once again the stress seemed to be on design – albeit a more flashy one, although still compact as compared to the competition – and while the customization option had disappeared, the stress on simplicity and speed rather than specs seemed to be back. Motorola has come up with a pretty interesting idea, which may even seem awkward at first – they’ve created a smartphone to function as the “heart” of a laptop. Motorola Atrix is the name of this unusual device and it can be bought in USA for 200$ (AT&T plan). It has a very powerful processor and uses Android as operating system....

Firefox Quantum, however, is no longer in beta. A few weeks ago, Mozilla publicly rolled out the update. And in the original launch post, it made no bones about dethroning Chrome. I downloaded Firefox again to check if those initial hiccups have been squashed off and whether the company’s claims had any real-life veracity.
