Just last year, we saw Oppo launching a new sub-brand, Realme, which was eventually made completely independent. Then we had Poco from Xiaomi. Before that, there was Honor, which started as an online-only sub-brand of Huawei. Gionee too tried its luck with a sub-brand called IUNI which didn’t go a long way. It’s expected that Vivo will iQOO like an independent company, but it’s all confusing anyway with Vivo itself being part of BBK electronics which is the parent company of other biggies like Oppo and OnePlus....

As Android tablets, these new devices are largely budget oriented as far as the specifications are concerned. Lenovo claims, courtesy of all that power lying around, the Z5 Pro GT outpaces Apple’s iPhone XS lineup in Antutu benchmark tests. The Xiaomi Yeelight Voice Assistant comes in a white colored cylindrical form factor. The speaker bears control buttons flanked by machine drilled speaker holes on the top. On the inside, the Yeelight Voice Assistant comes with a single 2-Watt speaker and a set of six microphones. At the heart of the speaker lies a 64-bit enabled 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A53 chip, 256MB RAM, and similar sized internal memory. Yeelight claims that its smart speakers come with an advanced wake-up algorithm which helps turn on the device from a 5-meter range....

Mi QLED TV 4K: Design and Display The Mi QLED TV 4K features an aluminum alloy frame (with a sandblast coating) all around, and it has a carbon finish on its back. Upfront, there is a 55-inch 4K (QLED) display coming in at a 96% screen-to-body ratio. The display supports 100% of the NTSC and 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It also comes with reality flow and Xiaomi’s in-house image processing tech, vivid picture engine....

In a forum post, OnePlus mentioned that they’ll be releasing the update to the masses in the next quarter. The update is as of now, limited to OnePlus 2, although OnePlus One and X users might also soon receive it. Until then, non-supported handsets will have to use the Jio4GVoice app (previously Jio Join) in order to make high-definition calls over Jio 4G network in India. Their OnePlus 3 flagship phone supports the functionality out-of-the-box though....

Oppo has treated the back with Carbon Fibre and an Oppo logo that comes etched in Gold. The Lamborghini Logo is placed on the lower half. Apart from the design changes, the Lamborghini edition Oppo Find X also comes equipped with a Super VOOC charging that is capable of charging the device from 0-100% at just 35 minutes, as fast as a Lamborghini! The same Russian folks have got their hands on the Google Pixel 3 Lite which seemingly comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, unlike both the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. While it carries the same design language on the back (now plastic instead of glass) and textured power button, this is a relatively smaller phone with a 5.56-inch IPS display at 2220×1080 resolution.
