Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G Highlights CPU and GPU – the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G is based on the 5nm process technology. It incorporates the Kryo 670 architecture that promises up to 40% improvement in performance than its predecessor. The chipset promises to offer up to 2.4GHz of clock speed, and for graphics processing, it has the Adreno 642 GPU. AI – in terms of AI performance, the latest Qualcomm offering employs the 6th-generation Qualcomm AI Engine....

As announced before, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 will be based on 10nm nodes. This is a marked improvement over the 14nm based Snapdragon 820 cores. The use of a smaller node means that this CPU will have a highly improved power efficiency. The leaked slides of the upcoming chipset reveal that it consumes about 40% less power than the previous generation model. In fact, the chipmaker goes to the extent of stating that its upcoming chip will consume half the power of a Snapdragon 801....

An eye-catching design And this begins with the design. The Narzo is an unabashedly large phone and slightly hefty phone. It is 164.5 mm tall, which means handling it with one hand is going to be difficult and at 208 grams, it is on the heavier side. It is not sliver-slim either at 9.8 mm. And yet, it manages to look good. Credit for this goes to the back, which is carbonate but comes with a design that reflects light in roughly V-shaped patterns (a gesture of victory among the youth, as per the company, and a thought that would make poor Sir Winston Churchill turn in his grave)....

Design that needs EVOL-ution The Redmi Note 11 is more about convenience than catching the eye in terms of appearance and design. Since the SD 780G belonged to a slightly higher segment, Qualcomm also recently launched the Snapdragon 778G which sounds like the spiritual successor to the Snapdragon 768G....

While we expected the Xperia XZ3 to feature Sony’s new IMX586 48MP sensor, Sony decided to put in a 19MP camera unit with “Motion Eye” technology owing to a sensitivity of ISO 12800. There are the Laser-assist autofocus and an LED flash, followed by the fingerprint scanner at the center of the back. The front facing camera is a 13MP shooter with an f/1.9 aperture. The Xperia XZ3 features Sony’s dynamic vibration system for audio output which generates sound from two speakers creating a surround sound effect....
