Bigger than a band, smaller than a watch Xiaomi has been using the term “Redmi Smart Band Pro SportsWatch” to refer to the Redmi Smart Band Pro, clearly revealing its watch aspirations. In design terms, it is definitely closer to a fitness band, but its extra width does give a slight watch-like look. Permit us to digress for a bit, though, and take you back to late 2014. What’s the formula for success? Clearly, Samsung knows a thing or two about this, having followed a similar strategy for its Galaxy S, S2 and S III smartphones – each model a bigger success than its predecessor.
