Now, the OnePlus 3 has been spotted on the benchmarks bearing a model number A3000 and the listed specs are as follows, 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 820 alongside the Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM/32GB of Internal storage. On the imaging front the OnePlus 3 is alleged to sport a 16-Megapixel front snapper and an 8-Megapixel secondary sensor. In all likelihood the OnePlus 3 will come preinstalled with OxygenOS based on the Android Marshmallow 6....

As per the rumor, OnePlus 3T will be unveiled most probably on November 14th at an event in London. It further states that the device will feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB of RAM, and a 3300mAh battery. Additionally, the smartphone will be available in two storage variants, one with 64GB, and the other with 128GB (both with 6GB RAM itself). The report also mentions that there will be a black color option for the OnePlus 3T (T probably stands for Turbo here)....

OnePlus 8: Design and Display In terms of design, the OnePlus 8 features an all-glass design with a glass back and curved edges that offer a slim profile, coming at 8mm thickness. The phone comes with 3D Gorilla Glass protection on the back and is available in two finishes and three color options, with Onyx Black and Interstellar Glow available in gloss-finish, and the Glacial Green offered in a matte glass finish....

Called the Type-C Bullets, the new wired earphones are an upgrade to the company’s existing Bullets V2. The biggest change, of course, is the presence of USB Type-C which replaces the standard headphone jack. While the Type-C Bullets won’t be available for a couple of months, OnePlus is outlining all the new features it has packed today including the price tag which is Rs 1,490. The Type-C Bullets offer a premium design with metallic earbuds and an aramid fiber coated wire for a tangle-free experience....

OPPO A5 2020 and A9 2020: Display and Design The A5 and A9 feature a 6.5-inch nano waterdrop screen with an 89% screen-to-body ratio and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3+ protection on top to provide protection against scratches. OPPO calls this a nano waterdrop screen and says that it offers a 31.4% decrease in the overall area compared to the previous generation. On its back, the A9 comes with a 3D gradient design, made out of four curved 3D sheets to make it thinner and more ergonomic in hand....

The OPPO Mirror 3 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8916 1.2GHz 64-bit Quad-core processor and an Adreno 306 GPU. It runs on Android 4.4-based Color OS 2.0.1, featuring a variety of gesture operations. It also gets 1GB of RAM and 8GB of in-built storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with an external microSD card. On the camera field, the OPPO Mirror 3 features an 8MP SONY IMX179 Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensor, with a sensor size of 1/3....

Qualcomm’s Quick Charge (QC) technology was first introduced back in 2013. And at that time, the protocol offered a maximum power of 10W. In the following year, the company announced its second iteration, Quick Charge 2.0, which featured on a comparatively large number of Qualcomm’s SoCs and offered up to 18W of maximum power. A couple of years down the line, we had the Quick Charge 3.0 protocol with more advanced features and a maximum power of up to 36W....

However, as the saying goes, with great power comes great responsibility fast charging capabilities and we’ve seen a number of implementations of it over the years. Qualcomm’s Quick Charge, OnePlus’ Dash Charge which has now been renamed to Warp Charge, Oppo’s VOOC and SuperVOOC which are also used by Realme, and the universal USB-PD used by phones as well as laptops. While all these technologies have one ultimate goal, which is to charge your phone’s battery faster, they all work in very different ways....

Higher Clock Speeds The Snapdragon 710’s performance cores have marginally higher clock speeds than the ones present on the 670. They can reach a maximum of 2.2Ghz compared to 2.0Ghz on the latter. The six efficiency cores, though, seem identical at 1.7Ghz in either case. Better GPU Another minor performance advantage the Snapdragon 710 has is the Adreno 616. The new Snapdragon 670, on the other hand, comes with the Adreno 615 GPU....

While Oppo surely did well in the offline market in India, the online segment belonged to Xiaomi, Honor, Moto and various other Chinese OEMs who would cut down on seller margins and advertising costs, and price their devices in an extremely competitive manner. In short, the price to performance ratio of these smartphones being sold online, was much higher when compared to Oppo’s offline offerings. Like those worthies, the Lenovo A6000 comes with an appearance that belies its price. We had discussed it in some detail in our initial impressions of the device, but to reprise – it is a smart looker, although not exactly a traffic stopper....
